The Coordinators'
Meeting goes digital!

Coordinators of Understanding Europe at their first digital meetin in May 2020.

In response to the COVID-19-Pandemic, the meeting from May 7 to 10, 2020 did not take place at lake Wannsee in Berlin but in a digital format. Using different online tools, our Coordinators from 12 countries, motivated as ever, advanced a variety of current topics and gained experience in digital educational work.

Program and activities

As usual, the Coordinators first updated each other on the progress of the project in their countries, and exchanged ideas and support on common challenges and plans for the future. Next to an introduction into our new Database and the restructured funding for all projects in the network, the focus of this meeting was on the newly established Working Groups of Understanding Europe. They were formed out of the necessity to digitalise our activities and are now working on:

  • Social Media
  • Digital EU-Crash Courses
  • Online trainings and communication within the network

During the Coordinators’ Meeting, the three groups got a chance to meet, work on first topics and present their future plans to each other.

All in all: During all four days, our volunteers upheld a fantastic and welcoming atmosphere, motivating each other to continue their efforts and activities digitally during in the next months. We are super excited to see the results of their work!
