Young Perspectives on Social Injustices in Europe

Guest Book of Photovoice Exhibition

Thank you for visiting our exhibition! We look forward to read about your impressions and thoughts. The Guest Book also offers you an insight into other peoples comments and impressions. Enjoy the read!

The transnational network for civic education Understanding Europe presents 22 Photovoices in this exhibition. The Photovoices, consisting of an image and a text fragment, were created in the framework of a workshop at an international training event in August 2023. The photos have been taken by participants around Hermannstraße Kiez in Berlin-Neukölln.

The method used to capture these images, enables participants to access broader topics like social injustices, climate justice, digitalization and technology. Members of the network share personal experiences and thoughts, which are expressed through the interplay of the image and the text fragment. The exhibition addresses social injustices as the most pressing issue for young people around Europe – from Portugal to Armenia, from Türkiye to France.

What are your impressions and thoughs on the exhibition? What are the most pressing issues in Europe today? Where and how do you encounter Social Injustices in Europe today?

Tell us about it by signing our Guest Book. We look forward to the exchange with you!

The images in the exhibition are testaments to the day I spent with the young participants, where we found ourselves in critical dialogue about the future of Europe in relation to its current trajectory. In line with the objectives of photovoice as a tool for social change I hope that more voices from the younger generation will be included.
