Sixth transnational Training for Trainers
The TT4T took place for the sixth time this fall, from October 18 to 20, 2024. This time, trainers from all over Europe came together in Belgium.
We are very excited to announce this year's Fellows of Understanding Europe! The young Educators are part of the two Fellowship-Programs “Digital Europe” and “Media & Democracy” for the next six months.
The two programs are awarded by the Schwarzkopf Foundation Young Europe in cooperation with the Alfred Herrhausen Gesellschaft and SpiegelEd, respectively. Both programs support four Fellows in the development of low-threshold and diversity-oriented workshops on topics related to digitization, media and democracy.
The fellowship “Media & Democracy” focuses on different aspects of political media education. Our four fellows will develop workshops on topics related to: the workings and impact of (digital) media; the question of what can be considered good journalism; and the responsibility of media for inclusive democratic cultures.
The “Digital Europe” fellows deal with the topics related to the (European) digital public sphere. The aim is to develop educational formats that strengthen the democratic competences of young people and thereby foster democratic values in digital spaces. Topics include political activism on social media platforms, digital mis- and underrepresentation and digital local communities.
