During the event, the Coordinators had the chance to exchange ideas with their peers while also engaging with the rich culture of Athens. The teams shared powerful insights, challenges, and wins during the Country Updates and therefore built on eachother’s experiences and solutions to challenges.

Further, during the Governance Day the participants learned more and discussed about funding strategies, best practices, and envisioning our network’s future. This was complimented by different workshops such as hands-on fundraising sessions or discussions on creating inclusive spaces for all youth. Also, the participants discussed the importance of their role as Coordinators as a reference point for inclusivity and accessability as well as how the existing structures of the network can be improved.

All the while, the participants were able to enjoy and celebrate Athens’ rich history and deepen their cross-cultural connections. This helped reminding everyone of the importance to empower young people with the tools for active citizenship.

Filled with energy, collaboration, and the spirit of change, this Coordinators’ Meeting gave everyone involved the fuel to keep pushing forward with civic education across Europe!
