November 2023
Cooperation, Strategic Planning, and Cultural Immersion
The Coordinators’ Meeting took place from November 30 to December 3, 2023, in Yerevan, Armenia. This event brought together project coordinators from across Europe for several days of collaboration, learning, and cultural exchange.
The meeting began with arrivals and a cultural day on Thursday, including a visit to the Garni temple and Geghard monastery, as well as a workshop on making traditional Armenian flatbread, lavash. Participants enjoyed a traditional Armenian dinner to close the day.
Friday featured country updates, strategy discussions around the upcoming European elections, and a panel discussion, followed by dinner with trainers from Understanding Europe Armenia. On Saturday, the focus shifted to governance, with sessions dedicated to imagining the future of the project, reviewing the funding situation, and evaluating the project’s diversity and inclusion strategies. A walk around the city center and dinner rounded off the day.
The event concluded on Sunday with reflections on the project’s future in 2024 and open space sessions for participants to share their ideas. The meeting fostered connection and inspiration, aided by Yerevan’s rich cultural backdrop.
Throughout, participants had the opportunity to exchange ideas, build partnerships, and engage deeply with the project’s ongoing goals while immersing themselves in Armenian culture.
